About Pitlochry

The house is just a couple of minutes walk from all that Pitlochry has to offer.

Easy to get to without a car and lots of walks and places to visit on foot or by public transport.

  • There are lots of lovely walks and cycle routes  nearby. Bike hire is available in the town and boat hire is available on Loch Faskally and Loch Tay.
  • There are golf courses at Pitlochry and Blair Atholl.
  • Pitlochry has a great choice of cafes and restaurants.
  • Pitlochry Festival Theatre is within walking distance with a variety of plays from May to October, a winter show and the Winter Words festival in February.
  • The Birks cinema in Aberfeldy shows all the latest films.
  • Birnam Arts by Dunkeld has an intersting programme of music, theatre, talks and exhibitions.
  • The Enchanted Forest is on during the whole of October.
  • There are two distilleries within walking distance, and interesting day trips within easy reach  in all directions, including the wonderful Highland Folk Museum at Newtonmore.
